It has been years since I watched the news on one of the major tv networks.
Too many commercials. Not enough detail. No in-depth reporting. Just a bunch of headlines.
Unfortunately, the cable news shows are not much better. Maybe worse. While there is often time for more in-depth analysis, there is no impartiality. No reporting. Everyone has a political agenda that taints what they say and report – and they don’t care.
Just a bunch of shouting. Republicans who hate Democrats and Democrats who hate Republicans. No one care about the truth.
And then, there was, once upon a time … Walter Cronkite.
Remember him? Credible. Reputable. Respectable.
A breath of fresh air in the polluted smog of today’s airwaves.
